About Sunnyside Su
A retired elementary teacher, Susan was dividing her full time volunteer hours among a few community spots in the Midland area when the pandemic struck in 2020. Indulging her passion for healthy eating and baking empowered “Sunnyside Su” to embrace the gift of time provided by the pandemic to start a healthy baking business.
“Sunnyside Su’s Healthy Treats” are Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Paleo [Sweetened Naturally] and Low Calorie. Products include mini muffins, brownies, cookies, vegan cheesecakes and chocolates. She also creates custom gluten-free birthday cakes and provides gluten-free and vegan dessert options for Midland Golf & Country Club for their events.
She now bakes out of her home commercial kitchen and sells her products directly, at Wendy B’s Fine Foods in Lafontaine and Boulangers Midland City Bakers.
Known to some locally and to many in her past as “The Energizer Bunny,” Su’s tagline for her business is “Energize your body one blissful bite at a time!”
